Representatives of the Center for Rescue Operations of Special Risk “Leader” EMERCOM of Russia arrived in the Republic. They will continue working on the mechanical cleaning of the territories of South Ossetia from explosive objects, the press service of the Ministry of Emergencies reports.

The ministry has noted that, together with South Ossetian colleagues, sappers have already begun to determine the location of demining activities.

Georgian side is creating addition al security threats

As part of the measures taken, the South Ossetian State Security Committee continues to record the illegal activities of the Georgian side in increasing tension on the state border with Georgia, the Committee’s press service reports.

A documentary photo exhibition dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Yevgeny Primakov opened at the South Ossetian State University.

President Anatoly Bibilov visited the location of the Foreign Intelligence Service of South Ossetia and congratulated the personnel of the Foreign Intelligence Service on the 16th anniversary of the establishment of the agency, the presidential press service reports.

The head of state thanked the personnel of the Foreign Intelligence Service for their high professionalism and fidelity to duty, and also wished effective work in ensuring a high-level security for the Republic of South Ossetia.

The delegation of South Ossetia is taking part in the first international Investment Forum in Donetsk. The delegation has included Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economic Development Gennady Bekoev, head of the Presidential Executive Office Igor Kozaev and other officials. The Forum will be held for two days - October 29 and 30.
