A Georgian citizen who fled the country and violated the state border of South Ossetia has been handed over to the Georgian side on Saturday.

The 10th tournament in complex single combat among the security forces of the Republic of South Ossetia "Peace Special Forces Against Terror and Drug Threats" was held on Saturday in Tskhinval at the "Olympus" Sports Palace. The tournament was attended by President of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov, the press service of the head of state reports.

The event was organized by the Federation of Integrated Martial Arts led by Soslan Tedety.

A gala reception dedicated to the celebration of the Day of Russia - June 12, was held on Friday in the capital of South Ossetia.

The rally dedicated to the Day of Russia took place on Saturday in the capital of South Ossetia. The action was organized by the Republican youth public organization "United Alania" with the support of the entrepreneurship of Rossotrudnichestvo in South Ossetia.

More than ten Russian-made cars, exclusively white, took part in the rally, which, according to the organizers of the action, symbolizes peace and prosperity.

The flags of Russia and South Ossetia, which were attached to the cars of the participants, created a special atmosphere of the holiday.

For more than a quarter of a century, the Day of Russia has acquired certain traditions, and citizens began to recognize that the solidarity and unity of the people for them is one of the symbols of the country along with the anthem and the flag.
