In some countries, the direct heirs of former SS men, punishers, policemen and ideological followers of Nazi ideas managed to instill their ideas in a certain part of society. “The farewell ceremony for the Soviet and Russian historian and archaeologist in Vladikavkaz was attended by Chairman of the Parliament of South Ossetia Alan Alborov, rector of the South Ossetian State University Vadim Tedeev and the head of the South Ossetian consulate in Vladikavkaz Maurice Sanakoev,” the statement of the press service reads.

The Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia laid a wreath on behalf of the people of the Republic at the foot of the Motherland monument at the Piskarevskoye Memorial Cemetery in St. Petersburg.

The event took place on Wednesday, on the eve of the celebration of the 79th anniversary of the end of the Great Patriotic War.
