The problem of recognition of the genocide of South Ossetians by Georgia in 1920 is exclusively in the legal plane. This position was made by the head of the RISI Caucasus Studies sector, Arthur Ataev.

According to the expert, now the representatives of South Ossetia must, in accordance with international law, prove that they had factual grounds.

As noted by Ataev , the genocide has long been recognized at the level of popular consciousness and historical work.

Under this name, commemorative events in South Ossetia will be held on the night of August 7-8. The project itself, prepared for the next anniversary of the August war, is called "Let's Remember Everything."

Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin instructed to submit an appeal of the Parliament of the Republic of South Ossetia on the recognition of the genocide of South Ossetians in 1920 by Georgia to the Council of the Duma for the nearest consideration.

The dance ensemble "Narty" won the grand prix, and its soloist Alina Gagloeva received the Miss Festival cup at the tenth international festival "Tulum Ve Müzik Festivali", which was held in the Turkish city of Riza, the Slovo newspaper reported.

As noted by the head of the ensemble Vladislav Zaseev , the festival was being held for several days, and every day they represented different national dances.

South Ossetian wrestler Arsamag Zasseev won the final bout with the Georgian wrestler Georgiy Chikhradze with a crushing score 10:0, winning the gold medal, and became the winner of the freestyle wrestling world championship among U-18 boys.

Before the competition, Arsamag Zasseev had a two-week training camp in Sochi as part of the Russian youth team. The wrestler performed in a weight up to 110 kilograms.

On Tuesday, at 18.00, Arsamag Zasseev will have a final bout with the Georgian wrestler Georgy Chikhradze.

The Tskhinval wrestler Arsamag Zasseev won the semifinal bout against Iranian athlete Salar Sayed Habibiekhsani and made it to the final of the World Wrestling Championship among the cadets. The press service of the Committee on Youth Policy, Sport and Tourism of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.

They noted that unlike the first two fights with wrestlers from India and Bulgaria, the semi-final was difficult.

Lyubov Dzhioeva, a student of the South Ossetian State University, made it to the finals of the talent competition of the All-Russian Youth Educational Forum "Tavrida", which is taking place in the Republic of Crimea. This was reported to the Res news agency by the Forum member herself.

According to her, more than 30 participants took part in the competition; by the results of the voting, eleven people reached the final.

In Bulgaria started the world championship in freestyle wrestling among the cadets. According to the press service of the Committee on Youth Policy, Sport and Tourism of the Republic, the Tskhinval wrestler Arsamag Zasseev is taking part in the Russian national team in the competition.

"The pupil of the coach Tamerlan Kochiev held the first fights and confidently won against the representative of India Kumar Anirudha with the score 11: 1, and after that with the athlete from Bulgaria Lyubomir Ivanov with the score 10: 0," the press service notes.

Republic of South Ossetia appealed to the Italian authorities for recognition, said the head of the Foreign Office of the Caucasian Republic in Italy, Mauro Murgia.

"We believe that the time has come for Italy, through its current government, to recognize the Republic of South Ossetia as an autonomous state on an equal basis with all the states represented in the UN," said Murgia, to RIA Novosti.

According to him, South Ossetia is calling on all European nations "to shake off stereotypes and bonds, imposed from outside Europe."

President of South Ossetia, Anatoly Bibilov, congratulated the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, on the Day of the Baptism of Russia and the Day of Remembrance of the Baptist of Russia, St. Prince Vladimir, the press service of the head of state.
