July 3, 2012 The UN General Assembly approved a draft resolution "Situation with the Internally Displaced Persons and Refugees from Abkhazia, Georgia and Tskhinval district / South Ossetia, Georgia",put to the vote by Georgia.

The leadership of South Ossetia and the Russian delegation headed by Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Rashid Nurgaliyev and Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation on socio-economic issues of Abkhazia and South Ossetia Tatiana Golikova visited the Znaur district of the Republic.

South Ossetian President Leonid Tibilov and the Russian delegation, headed by Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Rashid Nurgaliyev and Assistant to President of the Russian Federation on socio-economic issues of Abkhazia and South Ossetia Tatiana Golikova, inspected social infrastructure facilities in the city of Tskhinval. First of all, the delegation visited the Republican somatic hospital, where they examined the repaired building of the hospital, children's and intensive care departments, as well as the Operating Room.
During the meeting with the Minister of Health of South Ossetia Gregory Kulidzhanov it was underlined that the health system of the Republic was in serious trouble with the material and technical equipment, new personnel.

Plenipotentiary Representative of President of the Republic of South Ossetia on post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev has received today in Tskhinval the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross in South Ossetia Leann Hutchins.

In South Ossetia on a working visit arrived the First Secretary of the republican committee of the North Ossetian Communist Party, head of the Communist Party faction in the Parliament of North Ossetia Kazbek Taysaev and the North Ossetian deputy from the Communist Party, Robert Kochiev.

A soloist of the Bolshoi, Mariinsky and Novosibirsky Theatres, the world opera star Veronica Dzhioeva will give a solo concert in the capital of South Ossetia. The organizers of the concert are:a charitable foundation "Farank", the Sochi Ossetian national-cultural non-governmental organization "Alania" and the Council of the Moscow Ossetian community with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture of South Ossetia.
As reported to IA "Res" by one of the organizers of the concert, a stage director Tamerlan Dzutstsev, the concert will take place July 17 in the government large conference hall.

Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia in connection with placing the Georgian police post in the village of Zardiantkari

June 29, 2012 the Interior Ministry of Georgia placed a police post a few hundred meters closer to the state border of South Ossetia- in the village of Zardiantkari (Georgia), which is located opposite the South Ossetian village of Khelchua. This caused great tension among the people of the Ossetian nationality, living in this village.
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of South Ossetia is expressing its concern by the desire of the Georgian side at any price to destabilize the situation in the immediate vicinity of the border. Georgia's military build-up, aggressive rhetoric of its leadership against South Ossetia, the constant provocations in the border areas indicate that the Georgian authorities continue to focus on deliberate escalation of the situation and are harboring revenge plans.
