The South Ossetian Foreign Ministry commented on the OSCE PA session held in Bucharest, during which a declaration was adopted, including a call for the withdrawal of Russian armed forces from South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

“South Ossetia has repeatedly voiced its position on the destructiveness of discussing biased documents detached from reality,” the Foreign Ministry has noted.

According to the department, this is not the first time that such documents have been adopted since August 2008.

The Russian Ethnographic Museum of St. Petersburg has opened an exhibition "Getting to know Ossetia: History in collections - 250 years of a common path", dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the entry of Ossetia into Russia. The ICRC has noted that the organization thereby supported the initiative of the families of missing persons.

The authorities of South Ossetia handed over to Georgia a resident of Tbilisi who had violated the state border, the Republic’s KGB reported on Wednesday.

As reported by the department, on July 1, the South Ossetian border guards detained a 31-year-old resident of Tbilisi, Lobzhanidze Zurab, for illegally crossing the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia.

It has been established that the said citizen intentionally violated the South Ossetian-Georgian border in the vicinity of the settlement of Balata in the Leningor district," the KGB has noted.

The government of South Ossetia has responsible and professional people who are ready to make decisions, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach, has noted during the press conference, who arrived in the Republic the day before on a working visit.

“We discussed the prospects for our further cooperation, the results achieved in the first half of this year. I can state that a lot has been done, we have set quite high standards for ourselves,” Volvach noted.

President Alan Gagloev has met with Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Dmitry Volvach, who arrived in South Ossetia on a working visit. This was reported by the press service of the heads of state.

Gagloev has emphasized the importance of the meeting, during which it is planned to discuss a number of issues relevant to the Republic.

Representatives of South Ossetia, led by Chairman of the public organization “Rossy” Svetlana Kotaeva, took part in the next stage of the round table as part of the online project “We Defended the Native Caucasus!” This was reported by the press service of the Russian House in Tskhinval.

During the discussion, the teams participating in the project alternately highlight the role of their region in the battle for the Caucasus during the Great Patriotic War.

As part of a two-day working visit to the Republic, the Russian delegation, accompanied by Chairman of the Government of South Ossetia Konstantin Dzhussoev, Russian Ambassador to the Republic of South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, head of Ministry of Construction Zaur Chochiev and other officials, got acquainted with the progress of the construction of a children's camp in the Dzau region.
