South Ossetian talents will perform at the international contest "Cranes over Russia"

Today representatives of South Ossetia have left for Moscow, where they will participate in the IIId International song and poetry contest "Cranes over Russia," which will be held from February18- 20. The South Ossetian talents have got such opportunity owing to support of the Mission of Russian Cooperation in the RSO and the Union of Russian citizens in South Ossetia.

Leonid Tibilov successfully passed an examination in revealing the state languages skills

A presidential aspirant of South Ossetia, a former KGB chairman Leonid Tibilov has passed today an exam in revealing qualifications of the official languages. As reported to IA "Res" by the CEC secretary of South Ossetia, Irina Gassieva, Tibilov wrote a dictation in Russian and Ossetian, and then addressed the commission on the topic "Problems of Development of Education and Science in your election platform.

Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia is temporarily headed by Akhsar Dzhioev

Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Murat Dzhioev has announced that the Diplomatic mission of South Ossetia in Moscow was currently headed by the Charge d'Affaires of the Republic in the Russian Federation Akhsar Dzhioev. CEC: Vice-Speaker of South Ossetia Yuri Dzitstsoity passed the exam

A presidential aspirant of South Ossetia, a Vice-Speaker of Parliament Yuri Dzitstsoity has passed today an exam on qualifications of the official languages, necessary for registration of presidential candidates. As IA "Res" has been informed at the CEC of South Ossetia, Yuri Dzitstsoity passed the exam successfully, and members of the linguistic commission gave him a pass.

The CEC of South Ossetia has registered the last action groups

The Central Election Committee of South Ossetia has registered two action groups, nominating Anatoly Dzhioev and former Deputy Speaker Sergei Pliev as the candidates for president of South Ossetia. As IA "Res" has been informed at the CEC of South Ossetia, the authorized representatives of the party "Raestag IR" (Fair Ossetia), nominating the former head of Dzausky district administration of South Ossetia Pavel Kumaritov, were issued a certificate of registration. Deadline for applications from the action groups and political parties is February 9. The action teams supporting Dzhioev and Pliev, as well as the authorized representatives of the party "Raestag IR" were the latest who had submitted applications to the CEC.

South Ossetia is preparing for presidential elections in Russia

The Consular Section of the Russian Embassy in South Ossetia is preparing for organization the presidential elections of the Russian Federation in the territory of South Ossetia. As reported to IA "Res" by Consul of the RF Embassy Tamerlan Zasseev, the day of the presidential elections in Russia, on March 4, 2012, 12 polling stations will be opened for the Russian citizens in South Ossetia.

The Ossetian battalion will be created as part of the 4th Russian military base in South Ossetia

The Ossetian battalion is being formed as part of the 4th Guards military base in the Russian Federation stationed in the territory of the Republic of South Ossetia. As IA "Res" has been informed by the chief of press service for the Ministry of Defense of South Ossetia, Galina Guchmazovа, "the citizens of South Ossetia, who want to continue to serve in the army, now will be provided with opportunity to acquire new knowledge, learn military discipline and matériel at a level consistent with the Russian armed forces. - Ossetian battalion of the Russian military base will be the forge of professional military personnel for the Republic of South Ossetia."

The Head of Chamber of Commerce of South Ossetia has been refused the registration as a presidential candidate

President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of South Ossetia Roin Kozaev has been refused the registration as a candidate for President of the Republic.
As reported to IA "Res" by the Chairman of the Central Election Committee of South Ossetia Bella Plieva, the decision was made in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Constitutional Law of South Ossetia "On elections of President of South Ossetia" and the Constitutional Law of South Ossetia, "On guarantees of electoral rights and the right to participate in the referendum of the citizens of South Ossetia."
