A Round table on the subject «South Ossetia: before and after the recognition» has been held today in Tskhinval. The Minister for Foreign Affairs of the RSO Murat Dzhioev, the State Adviser to the President of the RSO Kosta Dzugaev, the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of the RSO Yury Dzitstsoity, representatives of the public have taken part in work of the Round table. The issues of political and national priorities of the RSO, a role of Russia, South Ossetia and Georgia in geopolitical processes of the nineties have been placed on the agenda.

Today, on September, 15, a session of the political party "Unity", presided by the chairman of the political party Zurab Kokoev, has been held in Tskhinval. As the IA RES has been informed at the «Unity» press-service, there was an item on the agenda: nomination for the presidency of South Ossetia at the forthcoming presidential election in November.

A round table «South Ossetia: before and after the recognition», timed to celebrating the Declaration Day of the Republic of South Ossetia will be held at the Media centre "IR" in Tskhinval. As the organizers of the action have informed IA RES, participants of the round table intend to discuss a role of Russia, South Ossetia and Georgia in geopolitical processes in the nineties, and also political and national priorities of South Ossetia.

The Central Election Committee of the RSO has accepted documents set from the initiative groups nominating Georgy Kabisov (the chairman of the State Committee for information and mass communications of the RSO) and Soslan Tedeev (commanding officer) for the presidency.

On September, 20, in day of celebrating the 21st anniversary of the Republic Day the first Russian- South Ossetian business forum «Construction of the modern state through effective economy» will be held in South Ossetia. The main objective of the Forum – is economic promotion in South Ossetia, strengthening economic relations with Russia, and also attraction of foreign investments in the economy of South Ossetia.

On invitation of the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua in the Republic of South Ossetia Luis Alberto Molina Kuadra, the Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Russian Federation D.N. Medoev has taken part in the state reception on the occasion of Independence Day of the Republic of Nicaragua. As the IA RES has been informed at the press-service of the RSO embassy in the Russian Federation, Medoev has sent congratulations to Mister Luis Alberto Molina Kuadra: «Your Excellency, Mister Ambassador! First of all, I would like to present my high respect and send you the most sincere words of congratulation on the 190th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Nicaragua.

Today the delegation of South Ossetia has arrived in Sochi for participation in the X-th International investment forum "Sochi-2011" which will pass from September, 15 till September, 18. As informed by the correspondent of the IA RES, the delegation is headed by the President of the RSO Eduard Kokoity. At the forum South Ossetia is also represented by the Prime Minister Vadim Brovtsev and employees of the governmental agencies of the RSO.

The President of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity has met today with the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic Anatoly Bibilov. The questions connected with forthcoming presidential election being held in the Republic in November have been discussed during the meeting. Eduard Kokoity has nominated Anatoly Bibilov for presidential candidate. «Taking into account your experience and knowledge, personal qualities, active participation in formation of the Republican statehood, I consider your nominee the most comprehensible at the present stage of development of the country», - the president has underlined. For his part Bibilov has expressed his gratitude for high appreciation of his activity on the post of the head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and has accepted the offer of the head of the state.

Every day the activity of citizens involved in the pre-election process in South Ossetia increases. 13 candidates for the Presidency have already been registered. No one can foresee their final quantity. These elections – is an important political examination for the people of South Ossetia, considering that we the first time conduct them in our recognized state.

13 initiative groups on presidential nomination of the Republic have submitted their documents to the Central Election Committee of South Ossetia. It has been reported to the news agency "Res" by the member of the Central Election Committee of the RSO Marina Tskhovrebova. According to her words, at present seven initiative groups on presidential nomination of the Republic have been registered at the Central Election Committee and now they have the right to gather 1000 signatures of citizens of the Republic. Packages of documents on registration of six more initiative groups are in a consideration stage in the Central Election Committee of the RSO.
