Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Dmitry Medoev is on a working visit to the Italian Republic since November 22 on the invitation of a group of deputies of the Italian parliament, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.

During the visit, a number of meetings are planned, including with members of the Italy-South Ossetia-Alania Friendship Association, the all-Italian organization of anti-fascist partisans, a number of members of the Italian and regional parliaments.

South Ossetian President Anatoly Bibilov called on the defenders of the Fatherland, who defended the independence and sovereignty of the Republic since November 23, 1989, to organize a public organization so that there would be no more misinterpretations about who exactly blocked the path of the thousands of the Georgian many thousands crowd. The President announced this at the rally timed to coincide with the 32nd anniversary of the Day of Courage and National Unity.

A multinational exercises Maple Arch 2021 has started in Georgia.
