On Wednesday, the capital of South Ossetia hosted a video bridge "Tskhinval-Sukhum" dedicated to the Day of recognition of the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia by Russia.

The videoconference for the South Ossetian part was attended by Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office of South Ossetia Alan Dzhussoev, Presidential Envoy for post-conflict settlement Murat Dzhioev and the knight of the Uatsamonga order Tamaz Bestaev, for the Abkhaz part - bythe assistant to the President of Abkhazia for international affairs Maxim Gvindzhia.

The Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia sent a press release to all diplomatic missions accredited in the Russian Federation, as well as to the section of interests of Georgia at the Embassy of Switzerland, on the 13th anniversary of the recognition of the RSO by the RF, the press service of the diplomatic department reports.

“August 26, 2008 in the modern history of the Ossetian people is the most important date in the long-term national liberation struggle for their freedom and independence, for the right to live on their land in peace and security.
