The documents signed between South Ossetia and Russia have two main purposes - ensuring the security of South Ossetia, providing military assistance if necessary, and maintaining peace and stability in the region, the head of the information and analytical department of the Presidential Executive Office, political expert Yuri Vazagov said at the press conference in Sputnik South Ossetia.

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev signed a decree on awarding the Order of Friendship to Minister of Culture of Russia Olga Lyubimova, the press service of the head of state reports.

The Minister was awarded for her contribution to the development of cooperation between South Ossetia and the Russian Federation in the field of culture.

A resident of Georgia, detained last year for violating the state border of South Ossetia, was handed over to the Georgian side after serving his sentence, the KGB press service reports.

The number of airspace violations in South Ossetia has significantly decreased, Deputy Defense Minister Vadim Siukaev said at the press conference in Tskhinval.

"When we report on the hotline about the fact of the aircraft flight and the Georgian side tries to identify it, the drone leaves the airspace of South Ossetia, or lands, possibly on the territory of Georgia, accordingly, it is quite difficult to confirm the fact of the flight," Kochiev said.

The removal of the illegal Georgian police checkpoint from the territory of the village of Uista in South Ossetia has once again become one of the points of discussion within the framework of the Incident Prevention and Response Mechanism (IPRM) format.
