According to Deputy Foreign Minister of South Ossetia Alan Pliev, The OSCE representatives visiting South Osseitia together with South Ossetian gas company representatives reached the village of Tbet where the gas transmission station is located. On the spot, they could verify that there were no damaged parts of the pipeline within the territory of South Ossetia. “Moreover, according to experts, for a month after the hostilities ended, the same level of pressure had been observed in the pipeline and this meant that there was no leakage on the territory of South Ossetia”, said Pliev.

On 11 January, a fire was opened from the Georgian village of Nikozi bordering with South Ossetia (south-west part of Tskhinval) targeting popiulated area of Tskhinval. This incident was reported to the RES Ageny by Deputy Defense Minister of the RSO Ibragim Gasseev.

Tskhinvali (ICRC), 19 December 2008 – Today, the ICRC handed over a garbage truck to the city administration of Tskhinvali within the framework of its Water and Habitat program. "The August hostilities had significantly decreased the capacities of city housing and communal services and their ability to maintain regular scavenging", noted Dmitri Djussoev, the Head of Tskhinvali Housing and Communal Service Department.

Tskhinval (ICRC), 27 November 2008 – Today, the ICRC delivered 68 tons of cement for rehabilitation of 20 private houses in the villages of Dmenis, Khetagurovo and Satikar and reconstruction sites in Tskhinval damaged during the August hostilities. «This assistance is a part of our bigger program which envisages a forthcoming delivery of 12,600 sq. m of window glass and roofing material for the same category of beneficiaries to help them reconstruct their houses before snowfalls», said Alexander Mailyan, the ICRC engineer. «The beneficiaries of the program were identified through the assessment carried out by the ICRC reaching the most vulnerable people».

On 2 December 2008, a meeting between the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the RF Army Land Forces Lt.-General V. Yevnevich and the Head of the EU Monitoring Mission (EUMM) H. Haber was held at the village of Ergneti.
The meeting aimed at establishing interaction between the RF military contingent and the EU military monitors.

Georgia’s attack on South Ossetia began

From the Georgian villages Nikozi and Ergneti, as well as from Georgian town Gori the Georgian army started the shelling from large-caliber weapons of the capital of the Republic of South Ossetia – Tskhinval, and of the South Ossetian villages: Dmenis, Sarabuk, Satikar, Tsunar, Khetagurovo, Velit, Mugut, Didmukha, Znaur, Galuanta and others.

On 5th of October a Ukrainian delegation led by chairman Valery Kaurov from all-Ukrainian social consolidation «United fatherland» has visited the capital of South Ossetia - Tskhinval. The delegation has a safety stock in its aim «All children are common» and invited children to take a rest in Odessa. During a month children will be attended by there parents taking rest at sanatorium «Victoria». The main staff of delegation has arrived from Odessa. Eleonora Bedoeva (the Government vice - chairman) and the deputy of health care ministry Madina Chehoeva have received the delegation.

The President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity met with RSO Parliament deputies. At the meeting was discussed the forming of new Government. The President stressed that this is a key question. «New Government should implement important State and rehabilitation works. Of course, we have delayed solving of this issue because of some objective reasons, but the problem should be solved»-said Eduard Kokoity. He also informed that German railway company Deutsche Bahn AG allocated 100 thousand euros for South Ossetia.

South Ossetia is demanding recognition of genocide of ossetian people. The activists of National forum «Ossetia accuses!» will turn to the international community with such call today in Moscow and Strasbourg.
As the National forum activist Olesya Kadjaeva informed IA «Res» correspondent the action will be participate by the activists of youth movement «New people» and International Youth Assembly «For democracy and peoples wrights». «In Moscow the action will be conducted at the Swedish embassy. Later on such actions will take place in European countries and USA»-said Olesya Kadjaeva.
