The government of South Ossetia has approved a number of bills

The South Ossetian leadership has extended the term of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in the Republic. The decision was taken today at a meeting of the Government of the Republic, which was held under the chairmanship of the President Leonid Tibilov. Deputy Foreign Minister Alan Kochiev noted that the tenure of the ICRC in South Ossetia would end on November 1 and proposed to extend it for one year. After a lengthy discussion, the government voted for the extension for six months. The head of state instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to request the ICRC detailed report on the work done during the last year and the plan for the coming year.
At the meeting, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Government of South Ossetia Tarzan Kokoev introduced a draft law "On the administrative supervision of the persons released from places of imprisonment." He has noted that the abolition of the administrative supervision of the persons has shown that individuals of this category committed crimes both in the Republic and abroad.
"Therefore, I believe that it is necessary to adopt this law for prevention of crimes and other offenses by former prisoners," – stressed Kokoev.
This bill was unanimously approved by the Cabinet.
Minister of Culture of the Republic Makharbeg Kokoev submitted a draft law "On protection and use of immovable monuments of cultural history of South Ossetia."
"This law is essential for our Republic. The law is aimed at implementing the constitutional obligation of every citizen to take care of the preservation of historical and cultural heritage,"- said Kokoev.
This bill was also unanimously approved.
Minister of Economic Development of South Ossetia raised a question to establish a special commission to determine the conditions of cancellation and prolongation of debts of small and medium-sized enterprises of the RSO before the public corporation "Joint-stock Savings Bank of South Ossetia," the National Bank and the state budget of South Ossetia.
During the meeting were also approved the establishment of rules and methods and the size of a one-time annual fee for the use of radio frequency spectrum in the RSO.

For a week the border guards detained seven infiltrators - the KGB of South Ossetia

In the period from October18 to 25 the Border Service of the KGB of South Ossetia considered the cases against seven people.
Two people were detained for illegal transportation of goods across the state border, two for violation of the frontier zone of the state border and three –for violation of the regime of the state border.
"Four of them are citizens of South Ossetia, one -a Russian citizen, and two of them - citizens of Georgia," – confirmed the KGB official.
Three citizens of South Ossetia from among the four citizens detained this week, by a court decision were fined, one citizen of the Republic of South Ossetia is under investigation.
" October 19, a citizen of Georgia, a resident of the village of Adzvistavi, Gori district, Eldar Gundrishvili was fined by a court decision and expelled from the Republic. The second Georgian citizen, a resident of the village of Plavi, Gori district, Robinson Terashvili is under investigation, "- said the KGB official.
A citizen of Russia was verbally warned and released.

Weapon caches were discovered by the border guards in Znaur district of South Ossetia

October 21 and 22 near the village of Balta in Znaur district of South Ossetia the border guards of the FSB Border Control Agency of Russia in South Ossetia discovered two caches of weapons and ammunition.
"In one of the caches were two grenades to the rifle-attached grenade launcher and four projectiles to 30 -mm automatic gun, in the other one - a 16 -gauge double-barreled shotgun, three F-1 grenades with fuses and more than 600 cartridges for small arms. The content of the caches were seized by employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic", - said a representative of the Border Control Agency.
According to the press service official, for the last week have also been detained four violators of the state border near the villages of Artsev, Disev and Tsinagar.
"Two cases of violation of the state border have been connected with the illegal goods transportation across the state border of the Republic of South Ossetia, and near the village of Tsinagar – with the illegal crossing of the state border."
The press service official has noted that a violation of the state border of South Ossetia near the village of Disev was recorded by a video-lokator system "Rubezh," established along the border in the flat part of Tskhinval district.
