Participants of the international conference in Tskhinval are discussing the possibilities of implementing new projects

International conference “South Ossetia at the Crossroads of Civilizations. Problems of Security and Sustainable Development” is being held on Saturday in Tskhinval.

The event was organized by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic in cooperation with the Russian National Committee for the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (RNC BSEC).

The conference is attended by entrepreneurs, scientists, government officials.

South Ossetian Foreign Minister Dmitry Medoev greeted those present, noting that some of the announced participants were absent for objective reasons.

The ECHR decision raises many questions and disappointments - South Ossetian Ombudsman

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) rejected the claims of residents of South Ossetia for human rights violations by the Georgian military during the 2008 military conflict, following a politicized and biased approach, said the Commissioner for Human Rights of South Ossetia Inal Tasoev.

“Although we assumed that such a decision could be made, it was hoped that the European Court would set aside its politicized, biased and one-sided approach in considering the complaints of our citizens and make a fair decision.
