Over 30 new cases of COVID-19 have been detected in South Ossetia in a day

34 people who were tested the day before in South Ossetia have been diagnosed with coronavirus, Marina Kochieva, head of the South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee told the IA “Res” on Wednesday.

“On Tuesday, 119 tests were carried out for coronavirus infection, 34 samples showed a positive result,” Kochieva said.

According to her, five people were removed from the medical register in a day, the total number of recovered is 3414 people, 200 people remain under the supervision of doctors.

In South Ossetia, 9 patients were discharged from the "red zone" of the medical center over the past day

Nine patients were discharged from the "red zone" of the Republican Multidisciplinary Medical Center of South Ossetia (RMMC) in a day, 44 people with COVID-19 are being treated, the Republic’s chief infectious disease specialist Eleonora Dzhioeva told the IA “Res” on Tuesday.

“Over the past day, six people have entered the “red zone” of the medical center. 20 people receive oxygen subsidies. One patient was sent to a hospital in North Ossetia,” Dzhioeva said.

South Ossetian judoka Alana Alborova won the bronze medal of the European Cup among athletes under 21 years old.

The Committee on Youth Policy and Sports of the Republic reports that the competition was held in the Portuguese city of Coimbra.

"Alana was fighting in the heaviest weight class (+78 kg). In the fight for third place, the 18-year-old judoka defeated the representative of Italy," the Committee noted.

Alana's trainers are Avtandil Gabaraev and Tengiz Turiyev.

In South Ossetia, the maximum 43 new cases of coronavirus have been detected since the beginning of the year

For the first time since November last year, South Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee detected 43 new cases of coronavirus (27 were detected last Friday), the incidence continues to grow in the Republic, the head of the department Marina Kochieva told the IA "Res" on Monday.
