From May 30 to June 2, Days of Culture of South Ossetia will be held in Abkhazia. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of Abkhazia on the telegram channel.

 Minister of Culture of Abkhazia, Daur Kove, is confident that such exchange events will make it possible to become even closer acquainted with the traditions, history and culture of the two fraternal peoples.

"Holding the Days of Culture is an important step to expand humanitarian dialogue and strengthen peace," he stressed.

Ossetian fighters, whose great-grandfathers defeated fascism in 1945, are today opposing Nazism in Ukraine, President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev said during the military parade in Tskhinval on May 9 in honor of Victory Day.

"Hitler's Germany was defeated in 1945, but in our time in a number of post-Soviet states, the rehabilitation of Fascist accomplices, large-scale actions of followers of Nazism, propaganda of Nazi symbols and ideology, desecration and demolition of monuments to Soviet soldiers-liberators has become commonplace," the President said.

Presidents of South Ossetia and Russia Alan Gagloev and Vladimir Putin congratulated each other on the Day of the Victory of the Red Army and the Soviet people over fascism, the press service of the President of the Republic reports.

Every person is obliged to honor and remember the great Victory Day, noted the head of the diplomatic department Marat Kulakhmetov at the solemn reception of the Russian Embassy in South Ossetia on the occasion of the Victory Day.

On Tuesday, the traditional solemn reception of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Republic in honor of the Victory Day was held in the capital.
