The State Security Committee of South Ossetia invites the heads of rural administrations to intensify explanatory work with the population of the border settlements aimed at preventing violations of the border legislation.

According to the press service of the department, despite the measures taken to prevent the commission of offenses in the field of protecting the state border, the Border Service has noted the facts of non-compliance by individual citizens of the Republic with the rules of entry (passage), temporary stay and movement in the border zone.

The Committee on Youth Policy and Sports of South Ossetia announced the start of collecting assistance to the fighters in the special military operation as part of the event dedicated to Defender of the Fatherland Day.

“The guys will need any type of assistance: equipment, personal hygiene products, non-perishable foods, essentials, medicines, etc.,” the statement of the department’s press service reads .

The collection point is open on weekdays from 9.00 to 17.00 in the Committee building at 1 Osetinskaya Street.

South Ossetian products at the International Food and Beverage Exhibition Prodexpo are becoming more and more in demand and recognizable, South Ossetia’s trade representative in Russia, Taimuraz Goginov, noted in a comment to IA “Res ”.
According to him, participation in the Prodexpo-2024 exhibition gives the Republic a good opportunity to promote its products.

Ambassador of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela to South Ossetia, Jesus Rafael Salazar Velasquez, inspected the stand with the South Ossetian products at the Prodexpo-2024 exhibition, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reports.

The diplomat expressed gratitude to the South Ossetian Embassy in Russia.

The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of South Ossetia, Ibragim Gasseev, sent a telegram of condolences to his Russian colleague Alexander Kurenkov in connection with the death of the head of the main directorate of the Russian emergency department for the LPR, Alexey Poleschenko, the press service of the Ministry reports.
