Tskhinval and Sukhum declared their support for Russia in relation to the recognized republics of Donbass

The head of the Lugansk People's Republic, Leonid Pasechnik, signed a decree recognizing the Republic of Abkhazia as an independent and sovereign state.

Presidential elections in South Ossetia will not be postponed, this issue is not being discussed, said the first Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office of South Ossetia, an expert Alan Dzhussoev, in a commentary to the “Res” news agency.

“The elections will be held according to the law, within the framework of our Constitution and within the framework of the temporary regulations that are laid down in it,” he has specified.
