In Tskhinval, South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev has met with Sergei Kiriyenko, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Russian Presidential Executive Office, who arrived for celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of the Republic's proclamation.

During their conversation, Kiriyenko thanked the head of state for the invitation.

"Thank you very much for the invitation to visit South Ossetia on such a day – the 35th anniversary of the Republic. It is a great honor to share with you, with all the Ossetian people, the joy of this event," he has noted.

A military parade commemorating the 35th anniversary of the Republic's proclamation has begun on Tskhinval's Theater Square.

Observing the parade from the stands are the officials of the Republic, led by the South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev, Abkhazian President Badra Gunba, First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Russian Presidential Executive Office Sergei Kiriyenko, and delegations from friendly republics that have arrived for the celebrations.

More than 3,000 delegates attended the 1st International Economic Forum "South Ossetia: Investment Horizons" in the Republic's capital. More than 10 investment agreements were signed at the Forum, Taimuraz Goginov, head of the organizing committee and South Ossetia's trade representative to the Russian Federation, told the TASS studio during the Forum in Tskhinval.

"The number of people who registered and expressed a desire to witness our—I dare say, revolutionary—changes was enormous.

For the Ossetian people, September 20 is a significant date, a crucial and fundamental event in the history of the Republic's emergence as the independent and sovereign state, according to the statement of the MFA on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Republic's proclamation.

A working meeting between the South Ossetian Minister of Culture Rada Dzagoeva and Roman Karmanov, Chairman of the Russian Presidential Foundation for Cultural Initiatives, took place in Tskhinval.

The event was attended by Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Alan Tibilov, Director of the State Drama Theater Grigory Mamiev, and Director of the Simd State Song and dance Group Vadim Sanakoev.

During the meeting, key issues and opportunities for further developing cooperation in the cultural sphere were discussed.

The International Economic Forum in Tskhinval has served as a platform for discussing South Ossetia's development prospects, including through strengthening partnerships with Russian development institutions.

During the panel session "Eurasian Bridge: Investments and Technologies for the Future of the Caucasus," special attention was paid to developing effective investor support tools.

The experts agreed that risk sharing, access to long-term financing, and an improved administrative climate are key factors.

South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev has met with the delegation of the Chechen Republic, which arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the Republic's founding and the opening ceremony of the first President of Chechnya, Hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadji Kadyrov School of Arts, the presidential press service reports.

South Ossetia and the Ulyanovsk Region of the Russian Federation have reached a new level of partnership in trade, economic, scientific, technical, cultural, and humanitarian areas.

A plan of action for the implementation of the cooperation agreement between the governments of South Ossetia and the Ulyanovsk Region was signed at the First International Economic Forum.

South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev has received the Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Valdrak Ludwing Jentske Whitaker, who led a delegation to Tskhinval to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Republic's proclamation.

Akhsar Dzhioev has welcomed the guests, noting that South Ossetia welcomes representatives from its friendly country, Nicaragua, on this significant holiday and will always be grateful for their support during this difficult time for the Republic.

South Ossetian leader Alan Gagloev has received Pavel Prokudin, Adviser to President of Transnistria, who arrived in Tskhinval to celebrate the Republic's 35th anniversary.

Alan Gagloev has warmly welcomed his guest, noting that the ties between South Ossetia and the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic are deeply rooted.
