South Ossetia is taking part in a media education project in Moscow

Representatives of the South Ossetian media, led by Chairman of the Information and Press Committee Maria Kotaeva, are taking part in the second round of the educational project “SputnikPro on Zubovsky” in Moscow, reports “Yuogu-TV”.

“Journalists from South Ossetia, Abkhazia, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Belarus, and Kazakhstan are taking part in master classes on the basis of the international media group “Russia Today”. They are conducted by the leading experts in the field of media journalism, photographers, bloggers,” the press service has noted.

Entrepreneurs from Chelyabinsk are conducting a business seminar for the South Ossetian colleagues

The development of agriculture, economy, culture and other issues were discussed in Tskhinval at the business seminar with the entrepreneurs from the Chelyabinsk region.

The seminar was organized by Ministry of Economy of South Ossetia with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic in Moscow with the aim of establishing direct business contacts between the enterprises and entrepreneurs of South Ossetia and the Chelyabinsk region.

We strongly condemn all forms of terrorism: Gagloev to Putin

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev sent a telegram of condolences to President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, in which he expressed condolences in connection with the terrorist attacks in Sevastopol, Derbent and Makhachkala.

“Reports of terrorist attacks in Sevastopol, Derbent and Makhachkala resonated with deep pain in the hearts of the people of South Ossetia. There can be no justification for the inhumane actions of terrorists. We strongly condemn vile crimes and all forms of terrorism,” the text of the condolences reads.

Alan Margiev has been elected as the new Speaker of the Parliament of South Ossetia

Alan Margiev has become the Speaker of the Parliament of South Ossetia of the VIII convocation. He was elected by secret ballot at the first meeting of the Republic's legislative body.

Margiev's candidacy was the only one on the ballot for secret voting.

27 out of 34 deputies took part in the voting. According to its results, 26 deputies voted for Margiev, 1 against.

Alan Margiev is a representative of the Nykhas party. He became the 13th Speaker of the Republic's legislative body.

South Ossetia strongly condemns the vile crime of terrorists in Dagestan - Gagloev

South Ossetia strongly condemns the vile crime of terrorists against the people of Dagestan, President Alan Gagloev said in a telegram of condolences to the head of the Republic of Dagestan Sergei Melikov.

On Sunday evening, the Dagestan Ministry of Internal Affairs reported an attack on a synagogue and a church in Derbent, as well as an Orthodox church and a traffic police post in Makhachkala. Nine people became victims of the terrorist attacks, including the law enforcement officers, clergy and ordinary citizens.

Alan Gagloev expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the terrorist attack in Sevastopol

South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev called the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strike on civilians in Sevastopol the inhuman act of terrorism.

“Another inhuman act of terrorism was committed today by the Ukrainian military against civilians in Sevastopol. As a result of the missile strike, hundreds of civilians were injured and children were killed. The terrorists, who had lost the last vestiges of humanity, could not help but understand that they were hitting the civilian population,” the text of the condolences says.

South Ossetia paid last tributes to the deceased special military operation fighter Alan Tigiev

Tskhinval paid last tributes to Alan Tigiev, perished in the special military operation zone in Ukraine.

The leadership of the Republic, headed by President Alan Gagloev, representatives of law enforcement agencies, colleagues, friends and relatives of the deceased came to see off the fighter on his final journey.

Alan's loved ones remembered him as the honest, fair, and reliable person.

"Today we are prematurely seeing off Alan Tigiev, he has always been a true patriot of the Motherland, a brave fighter and a reliable comrade," it was noted at the rally.

South Ossetia has commemorated those killed in the Great Patriotic War

In Tskhinval, on the Day of Memory and Sorrow, a commemorative event dedicated to the 83rd anniversary of the start of the Great Patriotic War was held on the Walk of Fame near the Eternal Flame.

The leadership of South Ossetia, headed by President Alan Gagloev, Russian Ambassador to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov, members of Parliament, the public, military personnel, residents and guests of the Republic came to pay tribute to the memory of those killed in the Great Patriotic War.
