On the fact of a special terroristic operation by the special forces of Georgia against peaceful Ossetian population, carried out on 27 May 2006, the Procurators Office of the Republic of South Ossetia instigated a criminal case as per article 126 of the Criminal Code of the RF (kidnapping).

During the night of 26 to 27 May in the Ossetian village Sguber, Kareli region, Georgia, the house of Tedeves was broken by armed people of Georgian ethnicity in military uniform, they demanded from the family to leave the village immediately.
