President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev met with the delegation of the Karachay-Cherkessia Republic, which arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the festive events dedicated to the Day of the Republic, the press service of the head of state reports.

The delegation has included: Advisor to the Mayor of the city of Cherkessk Alexei Statsenko, Deputy of the Duma of the city Cherkessk Albert Dzugaev, Representative of the Republic of South Ossetia in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic Eduard Khugaev.

"Donetsk is a million–strong city, today about half of the population remains there. Many continue to return to this day.

On Monday, President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev signed a decree awarding Akhmat (Ruslan) Zaseev with the medal "Defender of the Fatherland" posthumously.

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev has received a delegation of the Luhansk People's Republic headed by Chairman of the Public Chamber of the LPR Alexei Karyakin, who arrived in Tskhinval to celebrate the Republic Day, the press service of the head of state reports.

The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Public Chamber of the Republic of South Ossetia Sergey Kudziev.

Greeting the guests, Alan Gagloev thanked them for their visit to South Ossetia.

A military parade in honor of the Republic Day celebration took place on the Theater Square of the capital of South Ossetia on Tuesday.
The ceremony was attended by President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev, Prime Minister Konstantin Dzhussoev, Chairman of the Parliament Alan Alborov, ex-President of South Ossetia Leonid Tibilov, Advisor Envoy of the Russian Embassy in South Ossetia Alexander Zhurov, members of the government of the Republic.

In connection with the 32nd anniversary of the formation of the Republic of South Ossetia, the Embassy of South Ossetia in Russia sent a press release to all diplomatic missions accredited in the Russian Federation, as well as to the Georgian Interests Section at the Embassy of Switzerland. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of South Ossetia to Russia Znaur Gassiev, on the invitation of Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, took part in the briefing dedicated to the upcoming UN General Assembly in New York, the press service of the South Ossetian Embassy in Russia reports.

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev met with the combatants from Luhansk, Donetsk and Abkhazia, who arrived in Tskhinval to participate in the celebrations dedicated to the Day of the State Flag and the Day of the Republic.

“The people of South Ossetia gained independence at the cost of heavy losses, but today we are celebrating the day of the State Flag of the Republic, and thank you for being with us today,” the head of state said at the meeting with combatants.
