Russia and South Ossetia rallied to achieve stability in the South Caucasus. This was stated by the head of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Grigory Karasin at the meeting with the State Adviser to President of South Ossetia Konstantin Kochiev, Vmeste- RF reports.

“I am convinced that our relations with South Ossetia will only acquire new impulses from our contacts. Thanks again for this meeting. I hope you will often visit Moscow, ”Karasin said.

Konstantin Kochiev noted that the two countries had historically very close and trusting relations.

The prospects for the resumption of the work of the Geneva format after a prolonged downtime, as well as the participation of the Russian, Abkhaz and South Ossetia parties in it, were discussed at the meeting of Deputy Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Galuzin with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Abkhazia, Irakli Tuzhba and State Council of President of South Ossetia Konstantin Kochiev.

On Friday, Minister of Foreign Affairs of South Ossetia Ahsar Dzhioev received the head of the representative office of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Republic Dragoslav Blazhevich. This was reported by the press service of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the RSO.

“During the conversation, Dragoslav Blazhevich informed in detail about the humanitarian programs implemented by the ICRC in South Ossetia, and the organization’s plans for the coming period,” the press service said.
