Over the nine months of 2023, 376 violators were detained at various sections of the state border of South Ossetia. Of these, 156 violated the state border regime, 219 violated the border regime, the press service of the State Security Committee of the Republic reported on Friday.
The KGB Border Service conducted investigations on each fact of violation.

The head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic, Ibragim Gasseev, also took part in the meeting.

A delegation of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, headed by Deputy Minister Colonel General Ilya Denisov, arrived in South Ossetia to participate in the festive events dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the Republic’s rescue department, the press service of the emergency department reports.
The guests were greeted at the South Ossetian-Russian border according to national customs - with three pies and a cup of beer.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and South Ossetian Foreign Minister Akhsar Dzhioev signed the plans for consultations between the diplomatic departments for 2024-2025.
Lavrov is holding separate bilateral and trilateral negotiations in Sochi with presidents of South Ossetia and Abkhazia Alan Gagloev and Aslan Bzhania, as well as with the foreign ministers of the republics Akhsar Dzhioev and Inal Ardzinba.
The plans for consultations between the foreign ministries of South Ossetia and Russia will help to strengthen the interstate dialogue.
Russia will continue to provide support to South Ossetia in the field of security and defense, said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, opening the negotiations in Sochi with President of the Republic Alan Gagloev.

“I would like to note that South Ossetia is ready for further constructive work with its strategic partner, is ready to discuss all the issues that relate to regional security and once again assure the leadership of the Russian Federation that South Ossetia, for its part, remains a reliable partner, a southern outpost for the fraternal, our great Motherland," Gagloev said.
South Ossetian President Alan Gagloev arrived in Sochi, where on October 3 the South Ossetian leader will meet with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Gagloev’s press Secretary Natalya Bosikova said.
“The agenda of the meeting includes a discussion of important interstate issues. Based on the results, a meeting in a more expanded format is also planned with the participation of the head of the Foreign Ministry of South Ossetia and Abkhaz colleagues,” she said.
