Parliamentarians of South Ossetia met with the Russian delegation that had arrived in the Republic on a working visit, the press service of the legislative body reports.

Speaker of the Parliament Alan Alborov, welcoming the guests, stressed the importance of the meeting within the walls of the Parliament.

“Dear colleagues, I am glad to welcome you to the Parliament of South Ossetia and I want to thank you for your assistance and constant attention to the Republic in all areas.

Deputy Minister of Economic Development Dmitry Volvach at the working meeting on socio-economic cooperation between Russia and South Ossetia in Tskhinval said that the best sons of the Republic were standing shoulder to shoulder with brothers in arms, with the Russian army, volunteers.

“They are now solving the most important task and do not give a chance for Nazi revenge. We are grateful to you for this,” Volvach said.

In Tskhinval, it has been discussed socio-economic cooperation between Russia and South Ossetia, the implementation of the Investment Program and the state program for socio-economic development of the Republic.

Leader of the Russian state Vladimir Putin thanked his South Ossetian counterpart Alan Gagloev for his support. This is stated in the message published on the official website of President of South Ossetia.

"Ambassador of the Russian Federation to South Ossetia Marat Kulakhmetov expressed gratitude to President of the Republic Alan Gagloev on behalf of President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin for the support that the head of the South Ossetian state had expressed during the events of June 24, when an attempted military mutiny was committed in Russia," the message says.

President of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev has met with the head of the Russian Presidential Department for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries Igor Maslov, who arrived in the Republic on a working visit as part of the Russian delegation, the press service of the head of state reports.

Issues of bilateral cooperation and development of the Republic were discussed, the press service noted.

A citizen of Georgia, violated the border of South Ossetia on June 21, was expelled from the Republic, the press service of the KGB of the Republic of South Ossetia reports.

The Georgian citizen Lasha Eduardovich Bakhturidze, born in 1998, a resident of Rustavi, was detained by South Ossetian border guards for violating the regime of the state border of South Ossetia," the press service said.

The delegations from the Russian Federation and Abkhazia arrived in South Ossetia on a two-day working visit.

The Russian delegation has included representatives of the Presidential Executive Office for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, headed by Igor Maslov representatives of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development headed by Deputy Minister Dmitry Volvach, as well as the employees of the Russian Ministry of Energy.

The Abkhazian delegation is headed by Timur Agrba, head of the capital construction department of the Republic of Abkhazia.

On Thursday, Russian and Abkhazian delegations are expected to arrive in South Ossetia on a working visit. According to the press service of the head of state, the Russian delegation will include representatives of the Presidential Executive Office for Interregional and Cultural Relations, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development headed by Deputy Minister Dmitry Volvach, as well as the employees of the Russian Ministry of Energy.

The Abkhazian delegation has included representatives of the RA Capital Construction Department.

Forensic archaeologists Andrei Starovich and Yugoslav Pendich, invited by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), arrived in South Ossetia on a working visit.

The arrival of experts is carried out within the framework of the Coordination Mechanism for the search for persons missing in connection with the armed conflicts of the 1990s and 2008. Together with the authorities, experts are facilitating the study of potential burial sites.

The Cabinet of Ministers of South Ossetia has made changes to the procedure for the use of weapons and military equipment in the protection of the state border and natural resources of the Republic. According to the new document, when protecting the state border, it will be possible to use weapons against drones.
