"They had clinical presentations, on the 10th day the tests showed a positive result," Gagloeva said.

The first three cases of COVID-19 infection in the Republic were recorded on May 5. In total, there are 68 coronavirus patients during this period, of whom 35 have recovered to date and have been discharged.

Memorial Day for the victims of the Ossetian genocide on June 20 in South Ossetia is declared a day of mourning, - the decree

South Ossetian President Anatoly Bibilov on Thursday signed a decree declaring mourning on the Memorial Day for the victims of the Ossetian genocide on June 20.

"Expressing grief and paying tribute to the dead victims of the Ossetian genocide, expressing condolence to their families and friends, I decree: to declare June 20, 2020 as a day of mourning in the Republic of South Ossetia," the decree of the head of state says.

According to the decree, on the day of mourning throughout the Republic of South Ossetia, the state flags will be lowered.

The Ossetian Diaspora of Turkey provided assistance to medical workers in South Ossetia

The Ossetian diaspora in Turkey sent the humanitarian aid needed in the fight against COVID-19 to their homeland in Ossetia.

As reported to IA Res by the Minister of Health and Social Affairs of the Republic, Georgy Totchiev, humanitarian aid includes personal protective equipment: a thousand reusable masks, 630 protective suits, 330 respirators.

The assistance was provided with the assistance of Sadrettin Kusov, Chairman of the Ossetian society. Ministry of Health expressed gratitude to the Diaspora, noting that the Republic needs stocks of protective equipment.

Nine new cases of coronavirus have been detected during day in South Ossetia: among the cadets and a nurse

Over the past day, tests for coronavirus showed a positive result in 8 cadets who arrived from Russia and a nurse, all of them were in quarantine, Deputy head of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee Anna Gagloeva told IA "Res” on Sunday.

Gagloeva has noted that two more people recovered and were discharged from the hospital the day before.

No new case of coronavirus has been detected in South Ossetia during the day

Over the past day, 61 tests were conducted in the laboratories of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee (in total 1615), all of them showed a negative result, Deputy head of the Committee Anna Gagloeva IA "Res” on Saturday.

On June 6, there were 26 coronavirus patients in the Tskhinval infectious diseases hospital, "among them 19 cadets, 5 citizens who arrived from Vladikavkaz, one serviceman and one person from the medical staff."

In South Ossetia during the day coronavirus was detected among 12 cadets

Over the past day in South Ossetia, 12 new cases of coronavirus were detected among the arrived cadets who were quarantined in medical institutions, Anna Gagloeva, Deputy head of the South-Ossetian Consumer Supervision Committee, told IA "Res ”on Friday.

“In the laboratory of the Republican Medical Center over the past day, 27 tests (1529 in total) were conducted, 12 of them showed a positive result. All new sick cadets arrived from Russia,” Gagloeva clarified.
