South Ossetia intended to take resolute measures on the facts of shelling of Ossetian settlements by the Georgian side. This was stated by the President of the Republic of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity.
«Presently the situation is very serious. At the height above Nuli village Georgians are constructing another post. We will take most tough decisions in this regard, for this are band formations and they are shelling our villages. The situation is aggravating from the Georgian side»-claimed Eduard Kokoity.
RSO President emphasized Russia’s contribution to the stabilization of situation in Georgian-Ossetian conflict zone. «There is a tremendous concern, willing of Russian side to resume the negotiating process. We appreciate these initiatives and realize their necessity. The negotiating process should be resumed, but only within the framework of internationally recognized agreement»-said the President.
Eduard Kokoity also expressed concern about destructive stand of the Georgian side.
«Provocative statements of Yakobashvili have nullified the negotiating process. For the statements that this is another success of Georgia, who at last break JCC format are not represent the facts. Today we will discuss this issue at the Republican political council. But we can say beforehand, that the bilateral talks with Georgia are out of the question»-mentioned Kokoity.
«All the responsibility is on Mr. Yakobashvili and Saakashvili, i. e. on everyone who intends to break the internationally agreed format»-highlighted the RSO President.
